Israeli occupation forces shot and killed on Tuesday evening Palestinian youths in occupied West Bank city of Bethlehem, Palestinian medical sources and eyewitnesses said.
The Palestinian youth was identified as 25-year-old 'Ahed Ikhlil, from the town of Beit Ummar to the north of Hebron in the southern West Bank.
He was shot and killed near the Gush Etzion settlement junction, north of Hebron after claimed attempt to stab an Israeli occupation soldiers, Israeli army claimed, but eyewitnesses reiterated that he did not have a knife or any weapon before he was shot dead.
Israeli forces closed the permanent military checkpoint at the entrance of Beit Ummar in the aftermath of the shooting, preventing residents from leaving or entering the town.
