About thirty Palestinian women in Israeli jails

Eleven mothers are among those detained in the occupation prisons while eight were wounded inside the occupation jails.

The Palestinians Detainees Club said, on Sunday, that Israel is holding 35 female detainees, including 11 mothers, in its jails.

The club added in a statement on the occasion of International Women's Day that 26 Palestinian women are sentenced for varying periods, the highest being 16 years, while three are held in administrative detention, without charge or trial. 

It said that eleven mothers are among those detained in the occupation prisons while eight were wounded inside the Israeli occupation jails.

The club underlined that the female detainees are subjected to all kinds of abuse and torture starting from the day of their arrest.
