Israeli occupation forces detained on Tuesday at dawn 17 Palestinian citizens from various parts of the occupied West Bank, security sources said.
Israeli military vehicles raided Beit Kahel town, northwest of Al-Khalil, where Israeli troops detained seven Palestinians, including three brothers.
A similar Israeli military raid was carried out in the town of Surif, northwest of Al-Khalil, where the Israeli occupation forces seized a prisoner’s vehicle.
Meanwhile, an Israeli military force rounded up two Palestinian brothers after ransacking their family house in Aida refugee camp, north of Bethlehem.
Israeli occupation forces also raided Beit Ta'mir village, southeast of Bethlehem, where they seized the title deeds of a plot of land belonging to the Abu Mhaimeed family.
In the northern West Bank, two Palestinians were detained from Jenin city and another from Jenin refugee camp.
Such raids are being carried out frequently across the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem under the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.
These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted in violation of Israeli-Palestinian treaties.
According to Palestinian figures, roughly 5,700 Palestinians, including 57 women and over 250 children are currently languishing in Israeli detention facilities.
