Israeli occupation authorities announced on Monday reduction of fuel shipments to the Gaza’s sole power plant in the whole the Palestinian enclave.
A statement from the Israeli Defence Ministry’s liaison to the Palestinians said it would halve the amount of fuel sent through Karm abu-Salem crossing.
The statement stated that the decision is to take effect “immediately.”
Downsizing the fuel shipments, the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) said, was ordered by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who is also defence minister.
