More than 400 extremist Jewish settlers, escorted by Israeli occupation police, broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday, Jerusalem’s Islamic Awqaf reported.
It said that the fanatic settlers have been entering the holy mosque in groups since early morning, noting that they went on provocative tours through the Muslim holy site.
Last week, Temple Mount extremist groups called upon fans to perform provocative tours at Al-Aqsa, under the pretext of celebrating the Jewish holiday of Sukkot.
The Islamic Awqaf said more than 2,700 extremist settlers broke into the Islamic holy site since the aforementioned holiday began last week.
Settler incursions into the third holiest site for all Muslims on earth coupled with the takeover of church property in Jerusalem are perceived as part of an Israeli plan to judaise the and turn it under Israeli sovereignty.
