Killing the Palestinian leader, Israel is breaking a truce with the Palestinian factions in Gaza and this means that a new round of violence is looming.

Israeli occupation authorities closed on Tuesday morning all crossings with Gaza Strip and cancelled schools at all Jewish settlements near the besieged enclave.

Head of Presidential Committee for Commodity Entry Raed Fattouh said that the Israeli occupation authorities told him that all the crossings are closed today.

This came less than one hour after the Israeli assassination of the Palestinian leader Bahaa abul-Ata in an airstrike that targeted his house in the east of Gaza City.

The Palestinian ministry of health announced that Abul-Ata and his wife were killed in an Israeli airstrike that hit their house and two of their children were wounded in the same strike.

Israeli army said that the assassination was approved by the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
