Israel strikes house of Islamic Jihad leader in Damascus, kills his son

The attack on Damascus was carried simultaneously with the one targeted Gaza City.

Israeli fighters carried out an airstrike in Damascus, targeting house of member of Political Bureau of Islamic Jihad Akram al-Ajjouri, killed his son and several of his bodyguards.

The Syrian news agency Sana reported an Israeli strike near the Lebanese embassy in Damascus and said several people were killed and wounded.

Later on, the Islamic Jihad announced that the Israeli occupation jets had targeted Al-Ajjouri’s house and killed his son, Mu’az and a number of his bodyguards.

An Israeli TV reported Israeli security officials saying that the airstrike in Damascus was carried out simultaneously with the airstrike in Gaza.

The Islamic Jihad pledged to retaliate to the Israeli attacks which led to the death of its military leader in Gaza Bahaa abul-Ata and the son of its political leader in Damascus Akram al-Ajjouri.
