After murder threats to Chief of Blue and White Party, Benny Gantz, by Israelis loyal to the corrupt Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Knesset upped security detail for Gantz on Sunday.
Gantz said that he had told the Knesset Guard that he had been threatened to be murdered by different Israeli activists, using their real social media platforms.
The Knesset Guard decided to add two extra bodyguards for Gantz after revealing that he was verbally attacked before delivering a speech on Saturday night.
Gantz accused Netanyahu’s supporters of standing behind the threats posted online, stressing they were ordered by Netanyahu himself.
One of the posts called for murdering Gantz the same way as the former former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, who was assassinated in 1995.
Gantz accused Netanyahu of encouraging hatred and posted a screenshot of a Facebook status that called “to murder Gantz in Rabin Square.” Then, he commented: “Netanyahu, stop the wild incitement. Do not say you did not know.”
He also, according to the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, said: “I will never allow you to sow hatred and ignite the first modern civil war in return for a ticket out of your trial. I will not allow you to turn man against his brother.”
Al Jazeera reported Gantz saying: “Netanyahu, the pubic atmosphere and the threats worry every national leader. The incitement is raging everywhere and you are silent… Your regime has trampled all norms.”
