Israeli forces have shot Palestinian youth at checkpoint in the occupied West Bank located in the Palestinian city of Abu Dis, leaving him bleeding to death.
Eyewitnesses said that the Israeli occupation border police shot the Palestinian youth after his car collided near an Israeli checkpoint.
According to the eyewitnesses, the Palestinian youth was left without any medical help and remained bleeding to death.
The director of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Bethlehem confirmed that the Israeli occupation forcesprevented Palestinian medical personnel from approaching the youth, who was identified as Ahmed Erekat, 27 years old.
Israeli Police Spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld claimed the Palestinian “drove his vehicle quickly towards the direction of a female border police officer who was injured lightly.”
However, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth refuted this claim and stated that no one of the Israeli soldiers was injured.
Palestinians and human rights groups said that the Israeli occupation forces use excessive force, or in some cases opening fire at cars that merely lost control.
