Israeli forces kill Palestinian doctor in West Bank

Two Palestinian peaceful protesters were wounded by Israeli fire in different areas in occupied West Bank.

Israeli occupation forces shot stun grenade at Palestinians passing through military checkpoint near West Bank city of Jenin on Friday afternoon, killing doctor, medical sources said.

“While Palestinian passengers were passing through the Israeli military checkpoint between the village of Barta’a and the city of Jenin, Israeli occupation forces fired several stun grenades at them,” the Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement.

“Several Palestinian civilians were wounded and the Palestinian dentist suffered heart attack before he was rushed to the central hospital in Jenin and pronounced dead,” the statement added.

The Ministry of Health stressed that the dentist did not suffer from any health problems before the incident.

At the same time, eyewitnesses reported that the dentist was shocked when he saw the Israeli occupation forces firing stun grenades at the Palestinian civilians who were passing through the Israeli military checkpoint for no reasons.

Our sources said that the dentist was going back home to Jenin after his work in the village of Barta’a, noting that he used to go through this checkpint.
