Israeli occupation military launched overnight air strikes in the Gaza Strip after alleged claims that two rockets were fired from the besieged coastal enclave.
At least, 35 Palestinian children and seven women were reported admitted to hospitals for urgent treatment from stress trauma they suffered after the Israeli strikes.
Late on Saturday, Israeli occupation military claimed that two rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip, which has been under a strict Israeli siege for more than 14 years.
One was intercepted by Israeli missile defences, the Israeli military said, while the other fell in an open area.
Amidst increasing rhetoric escalation and continuous build up of Israeli forces around Gaza, it is uneasy to accept the Israeli claims about the claimed rocket attacks from the besieged coastal enclave.
Israel, monitors said, has been trying to drag the Palestinian resistance in Gaza into a round of escalation in order to use it as a pretext to bound the besieged territory with heavy attacks to destroy it.
Israel and Egypt have maintained a crippling blockade on the coastal territory, which is home to ,more than 2 million Palestinians, since Hamas won free elections and seized power after Israeli and international disregard to the elections’ results.
