A group of extremist Israeli Jewish settlers attacked on Sunday night homes of Palestinians near the town of Sa'ir, northeast of occupied West Bank city of Al-Khalil, security sources said.
Settlers attacked homes in the outskirts of the town, shouted profanities at the Palestinian residents and threatened to murder them and burn their homes.
Eyewitnesses reported that a large group of the Israeli occupation forces arrived in the area and protected the Jewish settlers.
In the meantime, Israeli occupation forces raided the city of Bethlehem, south of the occupied West Bank, and detained five Palestinians after raiding and searching their homes.
Israeli settler violence against Palestinians and their property is commonplace in the occupied West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.
The violence includes arsons of homes, mosques, churches and shops, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees and attacks on little children.
Over 800,000 Israeli Jewish settlers live in Jewish-only settlements across the occupied Jerusalem and the West Bank in violation of international law.
